The Welfare Benefits and Tax Credits Handbook

The Welfare Benefits and Tax Credits Handbook, published by the Child Poverty Action Group, is highly recommended.  Though it normally costs a hefty £32, individual benefit claimants can buy a copy direct from the CPAG for £8.80 including post and packing (2004-05 edition). It should also be available from your local public library.

The Child Poverty Action Group distribute a considerable number of handbooks on benefits rights, including on housing benefit, child support, fuel rights, paying for care, etc., which are detailed in their free catalogue. Write to them for a copy of the catalogue, or check out their website:
